£350 For United- What Is It And How Can You Help?

25.1% Total Shareholding

Craig FarrellTowards the end of last season, The Trust's board agreed to relinquish a 20 per cent share option in CUFC Holdings. We balloted our members as to this course of action and received an overwhelming vote in favour. Subsequently, we agreed with John Courtenay, who was then the majority owner of the football club, to reduce our three share options to just a single one consisting of a 25.1% total shareholding.

However, in order to fully pay for these shares, the Trust has to raise a further £350,000 over the next three years. We have already put almost £160,000 into the club through existing donations. But in order to hit this new target we will all have to re-double our efforts and dig deep.

Re-Launch Of The Trust

The United TrustIn order to push for the new target, the Trust's board agreed to re-launch the whole Trust under a new name this summer and also launch a matching campaign entitled '£350 for United' to help raise the remaining £350,000.

The new name we adopted was 'The United Trust' and you will see our new logo on this site as well as on the roof of the Warwick Road End stand at Brunton Park.

Matty GlennonThe heart of the '£350 for United' campaign is a large wall that will be situated outside Brunton Park stadium itself. This wall, to be known as 'The Wall of 1000' will contain plaques bearing the names or dedications of any individual or organisation who contributes A MINIMUM of £350 to the United Trust Share Fund.

This donation can be made as a one-off payment in several ways - by cheque, credit card or online via Pay Pal, the electronic payment system. You will find a Pay Pal button on this site that allows you to make a donation of any size to the Trust. Don't worry if you can't afford the whole £350 today - give what you can and we will keep a record of your total donations over the next three years. The sooner we get the money, the better, however!

Regular Monthly Payment

If £350 is beyond your reach, then why not consider a regular monthly payment, made via Standing Order? Several hundred of our members pay this way already and you can spread the burden of putting in £350 by making for example 35 monthly payments of £10 each. This will eventually qualify you for a place on the 'Wall of 1000', as well as a host of other benefit.

How Do I Get Started?

Will McDonaghAll you need to do is download an application form from this site, fill it in and return it to our FREEPOST address. No stamp required!

Alongside your plaque on the Wall of 1000, everybody who puts in their £350 donation will also qualify for a signed photograph of the CUFC first team squad, a photograph of the player of their choice, a certificate showing your name and the date you went on to the Wall of 1000, a photograph of you with your plaque at Brunton Park, your name on our online 'Web of 1000' and finally, a three-year FREE membership of the Trust (worth £15). Don't forget too, that as an automatic member of the Trust, you will also receive a 5% discount on all items bought in the CUFC Club Shop as well as priority on Cup tickets.

In addition, all people who qualify for the Wall will also get free entry into a prize draw, the first prize of which is a 10-year season ticket for two people in the location of their choice at Brunton Park. All in all, a fabulous prize and a great incentive for getting stuck in and raising that £350k!
