Thursday 25th August 2005: Election Results

Following this week's democratic elections conducted by the Electoral Reform Society in which the results turned out to be extremely close, the United Trust can confirm that Alan Steel, David Nicholson and Martin Armstrong did not receive sufficient votes for them to remain as Board members.

We congratulate Martin Hudson and Martin Horne on their election to the Board with immediate effect and Alastair Woodcock on his re-election to the Board. We also congratulate Kate Rowley on confirmation that she will remain as the Trust representative on the Board of CUFC.

The United Trust Board wishes to place on record its thanks to Alan, David and Martin Armstrong for their undying commitment to the aims of the Trust as it seeks to implement an agreement for the purchase of shares in CUFC.

There will be no further statement by the Board until after the next board meeting.
